Two more days of work

Saturday is my last day of work at the drugstore. It will be the last time I close the old place up. Then for the first time the gang from work will go out for a beer together. This is historic! I am gonna miss them so much. They are a great bunch of people to work with. If your on the West Island, that Pharmaprix is looking for a new supervisor.

I went shopping last night for work clothes. I had been in a uniform for work for two years now so my wardrobe needed to be updated very badly. Well I bought a lot of black and white outfits. I can't believe how much weight I have lost since the last time I bought dress pants. I am going to miss the workout I get at work too. Maybe while I am in TO I will do a lot of walking to make up for it. I hope that I will be doing a lot of working in any case.

I am so excited and scared and jazzed...

When I get to Toronto I will post a pic of me in my new Toronto work clothes...lol

Yay for new clothes! You should have come to Value Village with us today.

Do you mean Village du Valeur as they say in Quebec... Maybe next time Barbara B. The new job is just a temp job... hopefully followed by more jobs...
My new city... I have to get used to that Evelyne. Sarah M. of hollywood north report blog is moving to a rural island in Japan today for a year of teaching English.. At least I know the language and culture (somewhat) of the place I am going to, she on the other hand is a much braver woman than I.

The basement is coming along, we put together the Futon couch and threw out the old stinky carpet- the Dehumidifier is on 24/7 and Geoff gave you a few pieces (lamp, magazine rack, cd holder, carpet, and the roll way bed) - I have some other furniture from the other room in the basement- Carolyn will be stopping by on Wednesday to greet you - (she wasn't able to come today)
SO .....Drive carefully and don't fret- We have plans on the 12th....
Hope you had fun tonight....

Thank you Judie for everything you are doing for me and thank Geoff for the funishings and the work involved.
I had fun with the gang from work playing pool tonight they gave me flowers, a card signed by everyone and a pharmarix gift card (what else?) :-)
They all wished me well in my new life in Toronto and it was all good. But I lost two games of pool. c'est la vie.
I will drive carefully and I will stop at every reststop along the way most likely. I do not have a cell phone but I can get a bell card and call from the payphone at the rest stop (like they did in the old days)

I usually stop once or twice on the trip- it's really pretty easy- construction in cornwall will slow you down, but otherwise it's straight forward.

Too bad about the pool, there is a pool hall within walking distance (so is everthing) so you can kick butt the next time you visit Montreal....
