Forget the nation of Quebec. Welcome to the youtube Nation

As a Quebecer I never did figure out what a Quebec Nation is... or who it is... or what it means...
But this song is about something I can relate to.

My snow friend

We did not get a white Christmas.
But tradition calls for extra chaos on the roads
and in the parking lots for the boxing day shopping frenzy
so it snowed a lot today.

I avoided all that and build a snow friend instead....

Keeping the volume down

I have not posted much about Christmas.
I do celebrate it.
It's just I am keeping the volume on that holiday way down.
I don't feel like dealing with it at level 10.
Level 2.5 will do.
I shop, I wrap, I party and make the plans, but I am not into decorating for it or the music or the over the top stuff.
Low anticipation, low expectations no disappointments...

Happy birthday Jesus!
Not sure when your birthday really is but thanks for your gift to us.

What's up?

Since the C Lounge party, I was given a free ticket someone else had won from a radio station to the yet to be released Rocky Balboa movie. A lot of VIPs were there. I know I sat beside a couple of reserved seats. The guys that filled those seats were good looking, smelled nice and I have no idea who they were...
The movie itself... 2/3rds painful and 1/3rd good fight scene. Go Rocky!

This weekend I got most of my Christmas shopping finished. I will visit family tomorrow and do a little pre celebration in fact this entire week will be pre celebrations before I go back to Montreal for the real celebration.

Way behind in the blogging catch up game... sorry I haven't had time to visit everyone.

The MMA Christmas party.

The highlight and freezing point of the Martini night
was the Ice Garden featured at the C Lounge.
It was sooo cccold my hands were shaking as I took the pictures.
The hot spiced rum cider helped a bit.

I met a lot of interesting people there.
I met an Actor with his entourage, a fireman, a salesman that sells events for the CN Tower, and an RCMP officer. You just never know who you are going to meet...
I did a little networking, then I left early, because the next day I worked
I think that is how it's supposed to go in Toronto...

Night at the circus part 2

I am back from the Wonderful World Of Circus school and I will tell the story with pictures.

Now this is what I call an exercise class!!

I have not been to an exercise class since College (20 years ago)
The night started with a 4 lap run around the gym, then stretches, then we broke up into groups and started on different equipment. My group got to do the trapeze first. That was the most challenging and the most fun.
The trampoline was my next favourite I think.
Still have not got the hang of the stand-sit-up and turn thing but it's fun trying.
I won a ticket to the Christmas party on Thursday so I have plans for Wed. night (going to see The Hour) then plans for Thursday. Looks like a busy week.
Tonight I am joining a circus school!

Well only for the night.

It's an event I won a ticket to from MMA.

the ad for it on the site has this to say:
Curiosities once only satisfied by a vivid imagination come to life at The Wonderful World of Circus. Imagine that you are flying through the air with the greatest of ease on their hanging trapeze and learn to balance your way across on a beam simulating a high wire, as well as several additional circus art forms. Safety is a priority while you experiment with the hanging trapeze, stationary trapeze, trampoline, tight wire, aerial hoop, aerial silks, acrobatics, juggling and bungee acrobatics to name but a few.

This is where my dreams of flying will become realised... I hope.

I don't think I will be making a career out of it but it's fun to try these things once.
