Change of plans!
I am going to drive to Toronto one day early. Don't say I didnt warn all the drivers. :-)
I will be going on the 9th because I will be working on the 11th but I need a day to get familiar with the Toronto convention centre so I can direct all those 'new' to Toronto all around the place.
I will be working like a Torontonian too. I will work 9 days in a row non stop. Work work work... :-)
I will be right across from the CBC building so maybe I can drop off my resume live and in person after work.
The only thing that is still scaring me is the driving in a strange city part. I have my big Toronto and area guide book so I hope I am ready for this.

It's a piece of cake, just try to arrive in Toronto before rush hour on the Wednesday.

The dehumidifier is on and Geoff and Carolyn will help setting up your room this weekend!

You'll get used to it...maps help in the beginning though! But if you're not driving...the subway system is SO EASY. There bus system isn't as good as Vancouver's...anyways, good luck!

That sounds great Judie! Thank them for me ok? I like blue and burnt orange if anyone is doing any shopping for my room. lol
Allison I have to be at work at 6am and I hear the subway does not start 'til 6am.
So it looks like I am driving downtown ready or not. :-)

You'll be fine!
You have cheerleaders! ;)

I agree with Allison, the buses in Vancouver are good but only in the city. In the burbs it takes twice as long and the connection to the city is terrible. It takes me
an hour and a half to get to Vancouver (1/2 hour to 45 mins driving). Rush hour should alway be avoided anytime! =)

What is your job, exactly? Tourist information? Details, girl!

You must be getting awfully excited. I'm excited for you.

I will be working as a temp at the AIDS convention directing volunteers. I get to carry around a walkie talkie and help people get to where they need to be.
Kinda like audience wrangling... lol

Allison is right the subway system is really easy (after few days I got used to it, and did not know the city, so i think you'll be fine) and Toronto is a well designed city : way better than Montreal, it's hard to be lost in Toronto. I'm sure you'll be fine! And working downtown sounds really cool to me!

Good luck with your new job
