I have not only just bought a cell phone and a watch *shakes her head* I have also just bought two new CD's. Sloan Never Hear The End Of It and Barenaked Ladies Are Me. I am happy with both CD's, I love them equally.
I try to whisper budget in my ear but I think I have gone deaf to my practical side. Well I have resisted buying more shoes this week but not from lack of trying them on. What Barbara needs is a boyfriend who looks like a rock star, only without tattoos, who will remind me to put my wallet away because he'll pay this one... LOL
No, that won't help my spending habit at all. *sigh*
What I really need is that guy, but he's a bit of a nag and won't let me buy things unless I have it in my 5 year budget plan.
No, that would make me really grumpy...
What I really need is to spend time on myself without spending money. Go for walks. Learn a new sport. Meet new people just for the fun of meeting people. Borrow a library book or three.
I just have to avoid large malls, record stores, and guys who look like rock stars but nag like accountants.

We went cd shopping this weekend too (bad bad!) and Eva got the new Sloan one and it's really good. I think Sloan and BNL have a rivalry as to who can out the most songs on a cd.
I got some dandies as well. But no footwear - I can't afford that.
Oooh Sloan! Yay, good choice (as is BNL). I love Sloan and they're coming to Edmonton in October...hmmm, may have to try and get me some tix.
I just got a phone message tonight asking if I wanted to go see the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Tuesday night with my oldest friend.
How's that for good luck? Well bad luck for her husband who had to go out of town for work...
I was so surprised I blurted it out on Georges' MySpace as the question should I accept an invite to go see the Red Hot chili Peppers? ... By the time I phoned her back and made the plans with her, George answered my myspace query that I should go...
He's so sweet. Alex on the other hand complained about my question...but that's Alex for you.
:-)
You know what the best thing is? It's time I get to spend with my oldest friend... :-)
Yeah Barbara B. that rivalry .... that's why I stated I loved them equally. But the CD version I got from BNL only has the 13 songs. I did not get the extened version but the Sloan CD had 30 songs and it's the only version. Cool.
Waya I usually only get itunes but for BNL and Sloan I make an exeption.
Karen I was thinking the same thing.
mmm..."guys who look like rock stars" - I'd take one with the tatoos; minus the attitude and increase the insecurities (just a touch, but not too much - no need for whiny cry babies or jealous types.) LOL! You got it in my head!
Tattoos reminds me of doodles in the margin... and that reminds me of highschool...
i tried to buy the new sloan last week but the snotty record store clerk insisted to me that it was not out yet... :(
I had looked for it Wed. no luck then I looked for it again on Sat. it was available... not only that but the store HMV's clerks co-worker was an upstairs neighbour of one of the Sloan members and could hear them practicing... or something like that... lol
Love the rock star part :)
But sometimes, you have to forget the damn budget word... I hate that word, can't we have enough money to buy everyhing we want?
In my world I have enough money... I wish everyone lived in my world...*sigh*
I heard on the radio that women are attracted to a man, not by looks, but by his smell and the sound of his voice...
hmmm what do you think?
