One good thing about my job is that working my butt off is really working my butt off.
Doing my job now entails running from one end of the store to the other when anyone calls for my help ('cause I got the keys). I could be loading a cart full of boxes in the basement when I get a call to be at the front cash to get something, or do something, for the customer or the cashier. When I have done that I then jog back to the cart, load more boxes bring them up to the floor, and unload 'em onto the shelves. This job has helped me go down from a size 14 to a size 8. I just received my new uniform pants that fit and I don't have to hold them up with a belt.
See no gym is needed when you get your workout while you work.
I try hard to find the positive side.
Here is a joke for you from the email department:
Three statisticians went hunting and soon spotted a rabbit. The first statistician aimed, fired, but overshot it. The second statistician aimed, fired, but undershot it. The third statistician shouted, "We got him!"

Hey, if you can work-out at work, more time for blogging! It's like how at my school my legs always get stronger throughout the year from climbing all the steps two at a time (cause I'm often late, teehee).
Anyway, that's an awesome joke! I like.
I think of blogging as my second job. The payoff is it gives me the creative workout my little brain needs.
Hopefully blogging is not shrinking my IQ as much as my work reduces the size of my butt.
Hah becky I know exactly what you mean. My high school is called "The Hill." Newspaper: the Hilltopper. Stairs: everywhere. So glad I'm out of that. Especially because our backpacks weighed 30 pounds or more. I am not joking. And because of the stairs you couldn't use the ones with wheels. >.<
Don't worry, Barbara, you are intelligent as ever! And optimistic, too, which is always a bonus. ;-)
You've got things all worked out, my dear. Me, I drive 1 - 1.5 hours/day, then sit in front of a computer at work. Although I do take the stairs at work, as it's only a 3 storey building.
So I still need to head to the torture chamber in the basement everyday. sigh. I should be there right now...
It's cool to get the work out done while you're working (it's the same thing for me, waiting to tables with the kitchen in the basement means work out while working!), but it's cool, it gives you more time to do other things!
Yup it's a pretty neet time saver.
Now I just have to get another project in the works to take up my extra time.
Yeah you on the weight loss and score of some much needed well fitting clothes.
Here from blogger chicks.
Shopping! sounds like a plan...
Don't worry BW, you are a smart one you are! I mean, you have friends like me! Kidding, don't hurt me!
It's pretty fun watching the kids with backpacks with wheels in my school, Ariel. The smart ones just let them basically fall down, but then there are the ones who try and carry them down... big mistake! It's entertaining to watch anyway (I'm so mean...).
Wow, Barbara. thats quite a drop!
These days I am walking back and forth like a crazy person from my office on the first floor of one building to the lab on the second floor of another building to the basement where the imaging centre is...lets see if I can shrink down a size!! :)
I also made a few lifestyle changes as well in the past 8 months. I gave up softdrinks for the most part. I skip desert most of the time and food just not seem as important to me. Not even poutine...
I know how you feel Barbara. I have to run around for everyone's calls too. They need me on the floor for customer service, the UPS truck has arrived with God only knows how many boxes, and when I get to receiving my boss calls to me from the office (which I can hardly hear but have to listen for, just in case). People wonder how I hardly have any "baby fat" with a three year old - I walk everywhere; I am busy at my job and I hate cooking to eat alone.
In truth, the baby fat is definetly there I just know how to hide it. I could eat better for sure.
Here is how I look at it though. At least I am not living on caffine, nicotine and chocolate like I did in art school. The caffine will always be there I think it may have replaced all other fluids in my body! And if I NEED a chocolate bar, I am gonna have a chocolate bar. But I don't chain smoke or live off 3 hours sleep. That has got to be much better for me.
Sarah
Sarah I think you discribe my job pretty well. I still eat as much chocolate as I need though in any case.
Jas add lots of deep knee bends to fill the lower shelves (for some reason) and you have yourself a workout at work.
