I was sitting here counting my blessings and I found I have a surplus of 'em.
For a long time now I have prayed for people in need around the world.
I am not a religious person. I don't make judgments on religious people or non religious people. It's all good. I am just a spiritual person. My prayers and concerns of late have been concentrating on children in Africa. Today I took a big step for me. I got off my ass and did something for one child in Africa. I sponsored a girl in Senegal through World Vision.
Hey, this makes her my first child! That is just sinking in for me...
Ok I know that is a drop in the bucket towards helping the world. It's something I can just barely afford but, I hope it will be a blessing to that little girl, her family and her community.
It makes it more blessings back at me for making me feel good about it. So now I have even more blessings to share.
If you want to look into doing this, Google : Foster Parents Plan or World Vision, both are good.
be supportive

I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I have been thinking about it for so long. It's so simple to do.
Congratulations! You are a truly wonderful person for doing this. Keep us updated.
Thank you Andysgirl. My Mother has sponsored three children over the years. Other family members are also sponsors. I don't know why I did not step up before this point.
