I had a thought

I am posting in my jammies. I promise I won't post a pic of that. I am trying to wake my little brain up and get it ready for work. I have lots to do at work today. Most of it involves asking people if they have an Optimum card or in french "Avez-vous votre carte Optimum?"
Don't ask.
I am going to see 'The Hour' being taped on March 9th here in my own city. I have a link *points over there* to The Hour. I spend way too much time explaining who George Stroumboupolous is. Don't worry George I have to explain who Anderson Cooper is just as often. For fellow Montrealers The Hour is not just a weekly free newspaper it's a show on CBC Newsworld. I think they both may have got their name from the same source 'The Hour Has Seven Days' or is it This Hour Has Seven Days?. One of my brothers wrote for The Hour (the newspaper) a few years back. I have been advised not to name his column. It made that paper worth reading though. My opinion.
In any case.
be happy

You are going have such a great time at the taping. It's really fascinating to see the production behind the show (well maybe you are familiar with these things - I wasn't). And George is SUCH a nice person - you must make a point to stay and talk to him.
Let me know what you will be wearing or something so I can look for you on tv.

I have not seen any show being taped since college 20 years ago.
I feel that young again in my mind when I think about this event. I have not decided what I will wear. This calls for shopping!
*dances the shopping dance*

I asked the cards if I will get an autograph from George. The cards say yes. I asked them if I would get a hug. The cards said maybe.
Just makes me want to try harder...

I graduated from university in 83 and 87, so we must be close to the same vintage. How refreshing! There are so many youngsters in the blogosphere, and while I love them and get along really well with young folks, sometimes it's nice not to be the only person over 30. So thanks for that!
If there ever was a reason to go shopping, I would say that it's going to a taping of The Hour, wouldn't you?

While I respect what the cards say (you read cards? cool!), I could have told you that you will definitely get George's autograph. He will stay until everybody who wants to speak to him has had the chance, I guarantee you that. As for the hug, well I think I got a hug because he remembered me from a previous time, but even the first meeting I got a really nice arm-around-the-shoulder picture. (Sorry, I can't stop boring you with how nice he is). I am excited for you!
